Description
Type: WYSIWYG means What You See Is What You Get, meaning we will send the coral on the picture to you.
Sizing: All corals we take pictures of are placed on plastic eggcrate. You can define the sizing of the individual coral via the eggcrate, as each square is approximately 1,5 cm x1,5 cm in size.
Pictures: All pictures are taken under Aquarium Led Lights with a mix of colors dominated by blue. Please note that the color of the coral may vary due to difference in setting, color setting of the screen utilized on your device.
Stress: The corals will be stressed upon arrival. We recommend that you first acclimatize the temperature (float the coral) then slow drip the coral in a clean bucket (plastic container) in order to match water parameters.
Depending on what species it may take up to 48 hours before the coral is properly acclimatized (or acclimated?) and settled in your tank.
Temperature: We recommend water temperatures between 23-25° Celsius
Parameters recommended: pH – 8.2-8.4
Specific Gravity – 1.023-1.025
Alkalinity – 8-12 dKH
Ammonia – ZERO (your tank should have no detectable levels of Nitrite or Ammonia)
Nitrite – ZERO (your tank should have no detectable levels of Nitrite or Ammonia)
Nitrate – Should be zero, but up to 20 PPM is acceptable but nowhere near ideal
Calcium – 400-450 PPM
Magnesium – 1250-1350 PPM
Strontium – 10-14 PPM
Before you buy: We always recommend that you familiarize yourself with the species of coral and their needs before making a purchase. It can differ quite a bit what type of Flow, Light and Food the corals need to thrive in your aquarium.
We do not recommend purchasing corals if your tank does not have stable parameters or has been cycled. Remember that corals should be the last type of livestock you introduce to any new aquarium.
Tank Buddies: We do not recommend that you introduce any of our corals into an aquarium with fish or invertebrates classified as not reef safe!
Space: Please note that not all corals are friendly towards their neighbours. Even small corals have long tentacles which they will use in the battel for sunlight. Please allow for sufficient space when placing the new coral in your aquarium!
